Case Study: Personal Branded Collateral for Kristin Woosley | WrootsCreative Design
Overview
As the Director of Marketing and Communications, a Creative Director, and a graduating student, I embarked on a project to develop a cohesive personal branded collateral suite for WrootsCreative Design to add to my final portfolio-building assignment at GCU. This project reflects my passion for design, strategic branding, and continued personal growth. It’s an extension of my professional philosophy, combining innovative design principles with functionality to communicate my creative vision.

To create a set of visually striking, versatile, and meaningful branded materials that represent my personal and professional brand. The goal was to seamlessly integrate my identity as a creative leader while ensuring consistency across multiple mediums—from professional documents to digital platforms.

The Process
Concept Development: The branding process began with a clear vision of how I wanted to communicate my values and expertise. Using my tagline, "Your journey is our mission," as the guiding principle, I aimed to emphasize collaboration, inclusivity, and innovation.
Design Aesthetic: I chose a bold yet refined aesthetic characterized by clean typography, modern color palettes, and space elements that tie into my brand's themes of exploration and discovery. This design language aligns with the aspirational, creative tone of WrootsCreative Design.
Collaterals Designed
Resume and Cover Letter Template: A polished layout emphasizing clarity and professionalism, incorporating my signature color scheme and branding elements.
Thank You Card: A thoughtfully designed card with bold typography and stripes in brand colors, showcasing gratitude with a creative edge.
Business Cards: Dual-sided cards featuring my contact details and brand logo, designed to leave a lasting impression.
LinkedIn Banner and Profile Image: An engaging design with dynamic visuals to enhance my online presence and reflect my personality.
Custom Letterhead: A minimal yet effective template for professional communication.
Tools Used: The suite was crafted using Adobe Creative Suite, with Illustrator and Indesign playing a pivotal role in the execution of intricate design elements.
